I was lucky to find Osteopathy about year after being hit by a car. The resultant head injury, back and neck issues continued to plague me leaving me unable to enjoy my usual activities and suffering with chronic pain. The allopathic model for treatment only treated the symptoms and left me less than functional to participate in the life I desired. My first Osteopathic treatment was subtle, but I noticed changes and improvement within a few days that were lasting. It started me on a journey to regain my health and led me to becoming an Osteopathic physician to serve others in a similar way. Professional and personal experience have allowed me to witness how Traditional Osteopathy helps facilitate healing of trauma, illness, improving control of chronic medical conditions and even speed recovery from surgery. Though it may not always be possible to eliminate the underlying disease completely some of the associated suffering may respond to treatment. |
